The Truth Of The Matter
5”x7” Print – Original is 8”x10”
ink & white pencil on tan paper
©2015 Bryan Collins

Every fisherman has, at some point, exaggerated a fishing story. This is not necessarily done to tell a lie, but to help the listener understand the excitement of the moment when the fish was caught or in some cases, lost. The tale of the one that got away can make for a better dinner time story than the tiny little bait fish that was landed. The truth of the matter is than many fish caught are smaller than the stories describe them to be, but a small fish is better than no fish.
